Produce Cooler Fundraiser

Produce is a treasured asset of our store. Providing high quality, local, organic produce is a powerful way to support more sustainable food systems and to provide delicious, nutrient rich food for our members.

Produce sales have been increasing steadily for the past four years. Our membership now spends about a third of its co-op dollars on produce. The down side is that our growing demand for produce is straining the functioning capacity of our current cooler, which was purchased used 15 years ago.

Our cooler has served us well, but with the growing demand, we need a NEW COOLER. We want to purchase a larger (+4 ft.) produce cooler, which will allow us to provide, display and better keep a greater variety of produce for our members.

A new produce cooler will cost $6000 so Common Ground Food Co-op is having a Produce Cooler Fundraiser.

We are asking the members-owners to contribute what they can to this business expense. Checks can be written out to CGFC or donation may be made on the website.
